What do you mean badly and well implemented? The Horde portal room, Pathfinder's Den, is set up in a concise and logical manner and in a sensible and central location, which makes sense considering it's ultimately run by Chief Telemancer Oculeth. And what about Hellfire Peninsula? You have to get AWAY from that room, get to the Undercity Portal near the zepelin area, 'far away' and if you're a 110+is character, you'd be ported to the current timeline Tirisfal Glades, in front of Lordaeron, first. ORgrimmar has an Orc near the Shatrath Portal that most people miss that he can port them to Blasted Lands. But even in ORgrimmar, the portals aren't correctly 'ordered out'.īlizz should rework these rooms, for better, faster and easier access to ALL kinds of players (lower room in Org some people miss out a lot), and better layout. Like you said, the only issue I see there is the rectangular style, in contrast to the circular one from Orgrimmar. They could implement a room similar to te Priest's Class hall main room, oh and speaking of Priest's CH, they could throw in a speed boost too.Īlliance: awful access (specially on lowbies, who cannot fly, and even at earlier levels of flying.), but still better implemented room. Horde: better access, badly implemented room (the circular would be good, if they'd just make it ONE BIG CIRCULAR ROOM, but 'a magical one' so they didn't have the 'spatial issue'. The SW one has a dual staircase in the middle that goes to locked gates, these should open up to another level like org does and they should expand future portals in there. At least in a circular design the portals are equidistant from center meaning same time to port hop. It may make sense to extend the halls indefinitely, but not really, at some point you start to run into issues taking longer to get from one port to another. At least it makes sense, you go to the SW one and wonder what stupid Gnome mage killed Dr Who, reverse engineered his TARDIS to make a giant room fit in a tiny tower half its size. They did foresee this? Thus the reason org has two floors. Too bad no one on the design team could have foreseen this. The Stormwind one was smartly designed with room for expansion (including the fact they can literally redesign the room to make the two wings off it longer to fit more portals) but the Org one as a circle is stuck, it can't be expanded so they have to shuffle portals around. I said from the start when they ripped out the old portals that these rooms would have these issues.
